Unit 10: Home is where the heart is.

Scene 1: Love is powerful

Jun Rong knew that Jiao Niang was going for a picnic
with her friends today. Despite having work, he woke up early
to prepare lunches. To express his love for her, Jun Rong carefully
carved carrots into heart shapes and placed them in each lunch box.
When Jiao Niang woke up and saw the lunch boxes prepared by Jun Rong
filled with her favorite foods and the clumsily carved carrot hearts, she
found it so touching and kind of funny. With tears in her eyes, she hugged
Jun Rong and expressed her gratitude.
Later, Jiao Niang met Ru Xiang, and Hong Lai at the bus stop to go together to
the picnic spot. They shared their picnic and Jiao Niang opened the aromatic
lunch box. When they saw the heart-shaped carrots inside and all knew that
Jun Rong had specially prepared those for her. They couldn't help but tease
Jiao Niang and they all laughed. It seemed to everyone that Jiao Niang had
overcome the cultural differences between Taiwan and Indonesia and the
challenges in adapting to her new life. They were all really happy for her.
After eating, they enjoyed the beautiful scenery and started sharing their
experiences of living with their families, the challenges they faced after
coming to Taiwan, and their key to solving them. They all bonded over
funny stories. At that moment, Ru Xiang received a call from A Xi,
and she walked away to discuss something almost in secret.
After the call, she called to everyone to pack up quickly
as they needed to get Jiao Niang home.
